Successor Agreement to 1997-2002 Collective Bargaining Agreement |

Term of Agreement
The term of this Agreement shall be from July 1, 2002 through and including June 30, 2006.
- Wage Rates
The following wage increases will be made during the term of this Agreement:
- July 1, 2003 - 2.0%
- July 1, 2004 - 3.0%
- July 1, 2005 - 4.0%
Wage increases will be effective the first day of the payroll week closest to the dates listed. The adjustment will be applicable to the hourly rate of pay being received at the effective date of each increase, rounded to the nearest whole cent, and shall apply to all classifications and employees included in the bargaining unit.
- Life Insurance
Amend Article XIII to delete all references to life insurance benefits for part-time employees.
- Bereavement Leave
Amend by adding the following sentence: "It is understood that employees shall be entitled to three days of paid leave in addition to the employee's regularly scheduled unpaid days off coincident with the bereavement leave." This provision will be effective upon the signing of this Agreement.
- Health Care
Amend Article III to read as follows: "The subscription cost of any Authority-provided health insurance plan shall be divided between the Authority and the covered employee as determined by the state legislature under M.G.L. c. 161A, Section 35. As of January 15, 1994, the law required that the Authority pay 85% of the required contribution for health care coverage for active full and part-time employees. Health Insurance does not include Dental Insurance.
- Sick Leave Bank
The Authority and Local 600 agree to establish a sick leave bank for the benefit of Local 600 members, the details of which will be worked out at a later date. The bank will be Union-managed. Initial and annual contributions from Local 600 members will be capped as determined by the Authority.
- Sick Leave
Amend current language to provide the ability to take up to ten (10) days of accumulated, paid sick leave per year for the care of parents, children or other persons living in the household.
- Meal Allowance
The meal allowance will be increased to four dollars ($ 4.00)
- Single Vacation Days
Amend to allow bargaining unit members eligible for four (4) weeks vacation and with fifteen (15) years of service may take two (2) weeks of vacation in single day increments, subject to management approval
- Picker Pay
The rate of pay while performing picker's work will be $29.63.
- Joint Uniform Committee
The Parties agree to establish a Joint Uniform Committee to address all uniform issues.
