About Local 600

Local 600 was chartered on March 29,1981 by the Office & Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) of the American Federation of Labor and the Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) to be "devoted and dedicated to promoting, protecting and championing the legitimate struggles of professional, office and clerical employees toward achieving economic well-being, their general welfare and rights as workers and citizens." Today, many of the names and faces have changed but Local 600 continues to work towards that same goal.
